UNIBA WELCOMES DELEGATION FROM KOTA BHARU POLYTECHNIC IN LEADERS BEYOND BOUNDARIES 2026

Batam, Universitas Batam – Universitas Batam welcomed a delegation from Kota Bharu Polytechnic, Kelantan, Malaysia, as part of the Leaders Beyond Boundaries Nusantara 2026 Program on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Held at the 3rd Floor Hall of the Graduate School Building, the visit served as an opportunity to broaden perspectives, exchange insights, and explore potential educational collaboration between the two institutions.

The delegation from Kota Bharu Polytechnic was welcomed by the leadership and academic community of Universitas Batam. During the meeting, both institutions discussed various opportunities for collaboration, particularly in education, student exchange, and joint learning activities.

In his remarks, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Batam, Dr. Ir. John Friadi, S.Kom., M.Si., M.Ti., expressed his hope that the visit would serve as an initial step toward establishing sustainable cooperation between Universitas Batam and Kota Bharu Polytechnic.

“We hope this visit can lead to more concrete forms of cooperation. We also look forward to having the opportunity to visit Kota Bharu Polytechnic in the future and further strengthen the collaboration that has been initiated,” he said.

Meanwhile, Encik Zainal, representing Kota Bharu Polytechnic, expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and exceptional hospitality extended by Universitas Batam to the delegation.

“Thank you to Universitas Batam for the warm welcome and excellent hospitality. Through this visit, we have the opportunity to exchange perspectives and explore avenues for collaboration,” he said.

Encik Zainal also highlighted that Universitas Batam is among Kota Bharu Polytechnic’s preferred institutions for exploring collaboration, particularly in student exchange and joint learning programs.

“We have chosen Universitas Batam as one of our preferred partners for student exchange and joint learning. We hope that our discussions will not end here, but will lead to meaningful impacts for both countries,” he added.

The visit is expected to serve not only as an opportunity for networking and information exchange, but also as a foundation for developing collaborative programs that provide meaningful benefits to students and both institutions.

Through its commitment to cross-border collaboration, Universitas Batam continues to expand its international academic network and create broader learning opportunities for students through partnerships with educational institutions across the region.
